I’m Hugh Farrow, a UK-based Self Shooting Producer/Director and documentary filmmaker with over a decade of experience in broadcast television, sports films, and branded content. I specialise in high-end factual storytelling—filming documentaries, working closely with presenters, and creating visually compelling content for broadcasters and brands around the world.

I’ve shot and directed over 50 documentaries for global broadcasters including Discovery, the BBC, and the Olympic Channel, and helped grow some of the world’s leading YouTube channels from launch to millions of subscribers. This gives me a rare combination of cinematic storytelling experience and digital-first, fast-turnaround content creation.

My technical skills include operating Sony FX6 and FX3 camera systems, lighting and recording interviews solo, and directing on location in remote, high-pressure environments. I’ve filmed in deserts, jungles, high-altitude terrain, and other dangerous or isolated locations—often working solo or leading small, agile crews.

I also edit both short-form and longer, narrative-led documentaries, crafting clear, compelling stories from rushes to final cut.
